Retro Models was established in 2014. Its purpose was to meet the needs of the serious model collector who craves for model airliners of yesteryears - hence the brand, Retro Models.
There are only a few other manufacturers that produce models of past airliners, and there is only one that exclusively does this. Our aim was to fill a void in the market for such aircraft models by way of producing further airliners in various liveries and aircraft types that were never produced before.
From 2014 to 2018, Retro Models were able to produce just nine diecast aircraft models. These models were of a very high quality, and they sold quite quickly. We also received favourable reviews and feedback for our models.
Many more models were planned during this period and for the times ahead. However, we incurred heavy losses and therefore halted production. We firmly believe that our demise was due to unfair business practices, unethical conduct, deception, dishonesty and betrayal by those that were responsible for producing our models and developing our moulds.
We may produce further models in the future if we can find someone honest and reliable, and with whom we can restore our trust in the manufacturing process.
